Why You Should Register With An Online Christian Dating Agency?

Monday, March 31st, 2008

By Finn Jensen I dont know about you, but Im very tired of being single and the whole scene about it. If you are a bit like me you hate going from bar to bar and club to club meeting people. Not that some of the people I meet arent okay. But it was more fun when I was younger. And as you guessed, I am older now. As a Christian I have joined a Christian dating agency now. Why? I will explain in a short while. The problem with going out meeting people at bars and in clubs, are that you could spend hours talking to a person you think is okay, and your conversation feels good. And then after a long talk you realize that your values are totally different from the other person. I am just about to tell you why joining a Christian dating agency was perfect for me. After hours of talk weekend after weekend you get tired you are wasting your time. Why? Because you never know when you strike gold out there. So getting that membership to a Christian dating agency changed it all in a very short time for me. All of a sudden, I where dating people with my values I could relax instead of being on the lookout for signs of stuff that I didnt like about my date. What a relief its been to join my Christian dating agency club. Another great advantage of an online Christian dating agency is that it is very easy to join. I can create an account, fill out a profile, upload some pictures, and start browsing other profiles all within a couple of minutes. As being a member now for a couple of months I am 100% certain it was a good decision. I have not yet meet my soul mate, but I am very confident my Christian dating agency will help me find the person that shares my faith. And that is exactly what Im looking for. Save Money By Making Your Own ID Badges - Tips And Tricks

Saturday, March 29th, 2008

By John Morris ID Badges are used anywhere these days. They are used in the hospital as medical cards that provide discounts and benefits. ID badges are a standard operating procedure in schools, companies and libraries. ID badges help to ensure security and maintain organization. Of course, these badges are also used for personal use. You could use them as souvenir for a birthday celebration, you could make use of badges for small, private groups and clubs, for a small production like the school play, or just for fun. 1. Materials There are many available kinds of paper to choose from in making your custom badges. The shape of the ID would depend on your preference if it would be vertical or horizontal. The materials of the badge would depend on the design and how authentic you want the badge to look, if you are attempting to replicate a specific look. - Laminated badge - Dimension is 2 1/8 x 3 - Sticker badge - Can be purchased on bookstores - Premium quality specialty paper - satin cloth - and card board - Transparent plastic cards 2. Design The design of your custom badges would depend on what the badge is for. If it the badge is going to be used in a formal occasion or organization, present the design with a sophisticated style. The color is your choice. Ask yourself or the members of your organization what information is to be placed on the custom badges. The position of the information is also important because this would serve as identification of the person bearing it. The choices of the card could contain an organization or company logo and name, student or employee number, signature of the bearer for verification purposes, contact numbers, expiry date of the card, and control numbers. It is up to you where you would place the information. Make sure that you provide a space for the picture and signature if you require this information. 3. Scanning It is important for you to obtain all the data you need in completing your custom badge for you to scan it into your computer. All the images should be formatted in jpg for best pixel imagery. The standard size of picture on the identification badge is 1×1 or nothing smaller than a mail stamp. If you plan the custom badges to contain the signatures of the bearer, make sure to collect them on a piece of paper at least standard letter size. After obtaining the signatures, scan it into your computer and save it as a file type that retains the detail of the signature, such as a .jpg or better. 4. Preparation Open software that allows you to edit your images (eg. Adobe Photoshop). You could adjust the shade of the picture if it does not match your design. - Set up the dimensions of the canvas to those desired - Unlock the background layer and fill it with white or your desired background image - Cut the picture from the file and paste it in a new layer above the background - Resize as necessary, and position where desired - Create text areas for all of the text required, using a desired font - Print on high quality paper 5. Laminating After printing the card, make sure to dry it for 20 minutes. If it the ink has dried, it is now safe to laminate it with a plastic cover. Make sure to measure the card and the cover before starting lamination. The lamination will require at least an inch of space. Marketing Hesitation Costs Dearly

Friday, March 28th, 2008

By Alicia Smith Timing is everything. Hate to be late? The early bird gets the worm. Hesitation, when it comes to marketing, can mean the difference between making a sale and walking away empty handed. Success in many things we do is dependent on how fast we can process information in order to do something. Response time can be critical when youre trying to start a business and while youre trying to stay on top of one that is already in full swing. Examine where you might be hesitating and think about what opportunities you may be missing because you allow an opportunity to pass you by. 1. Selling yourself. Your number one responsibility when youre marketing is to sell yourself. Many new business owners dont like the idea of having to sell themselves, as they may have never done so before. Or, the word selling may conjure up all sorts of unpleasant thoughts. The next time you meet someone, adopt the attitude of just having a simple conversation about who you are and what you do. Dont pass up any opportunity to promote your business. 2. Still working on the website? Some people get caught up in the technology of doing business. They make all sorts of excuses as to why they cant do things because theyre still working on their website. My suggestion is to keep working on your website (offline), but keep a version of it up and running. Its important to maintain visibility with your current and potential clients. Websites are a great and inexpensive way to maintain a presence. 3. Returning phone calls. Do you ever have days when you dont want to return phone calls to clients, or to anyone for that matter? We all do. But, there is a serious downside to not returning them. You never know when you might be missing a time critical opportunity. Even worse, you are sending a strong message to callers that you might not be the right person to work with because you dont attend to important things like returning calls. Clients want service, and they want it yesterday. Set aside one or two times per day to return calls and just do it. 4. Failure to respond to emails. As with returning telephone calls, emails left unattended can send negative messages about you and your business to current and potential clients. Today, email is a more common mode of communication than the telephone. Its not uncommon to receive 100 or more emails per day. The danger is letting them sit unanswered. When you dont answer emails, people might think you arent on top of things, arent detail oriented, or still worse, that they arent important. If people dont get the prompt attention they desire, its easy in this competitive marketplace to go somewhere else. Dont hesitate when it comes to communications. Plan regular times in your schedule to catch up on correspondence. 5. Letting opportunity pass you by. Its amazing how many opportunities you can be presented with to market your business and get new clients. But, how many of them are you really taking advantage of? Are there speaking opportunities with local clubs and associations to be pursued? Find a list of organizations and either write them a letter or make a phone call to see if they a need for speak what their needs are. In a few minutes of your time, and usually at little to no cost, you can create a situation to get the message out about who you are and what you do. 6. Incomplete projects. How many projects are you working on right now? How many projects have you started, but have now abandoned? Adopt a new attitude of finishing what you start. Its refreshing to see something come to its completion. Unless you start something that turns out to be a blatant step in the wrong direction, try to complete everything you start. Even if you dont like the final outcome, you might be able to salvage the project for another use, possibly by pulling material from it to create articles, or free reports which you can give away. 7. Make decisions now. Making decisions in a timely manner is something most everyone struggles with. We are concerned that we might not be taking enough time to think things through. We may not have enough data or we might, but we just arent comfortable enough with what we have. Or, we dont want to make the wrong decision. These are just some of the things that keep us hesitating when it comes to make decisions. But, hesitation when it comes to our businesses can translate into missed opportunities. While there isnt a magic formula as to when to make a decision on something, dont spend too much time thinking about it. Inaction will get you nowhere in your business. Even if you make a decision you might not like, taking action and pushing forward will give you more immediate feedback. You then learn something that allows you to correct. Action will bring success to you a lot more quickly. 8. Putting things off. Procrastination is hesitation at its best. When you put things off you stop the flow of everything. If things arent flowing, dont expect new business to show up. If there are tasks you dont enjoy doing, delegate them to someone else. If you are a solopreneur, hire a virtual assistant to handle things you either dont enjoy doing or dont know how to do. If youre not moving along with business ideas or projects, consider forming a partnership or strategic alliance with someone else. This can serve to motivate both of you. 9. Not following through. Similar to not completing projects, not following through with business matters can bring serious consequences. As they say, you only have one opportunity to make a good impression. Well, a client might have a good impression of you and your business at the start, but can you maintain a consistent level of attentive customer service with them throughout the relationship? Whether its returning phone calls, following up with emails, or delivering a product or service to the client, make sure that you complete these tasks fully. 10. Breaking promises. Our words are who we are. When you tell someone you are going to do something, its important that you follow through to keep that promise. The first time you break a promise to a client, depending on its severity, it can be the last time you do business with them. If you find that keeping promises is difficult, try promising small things and accomplishing those. Sometimes breaking a promise is necessary as when a client or customer makes demands that are outside of the scope of the original agreement. In that case, its about protecting you and your business. Every situation is different. While keeping promises to clients and potential customers is critical to business success, it is just as important to keep promises to yourself. Consider adopting a new attitude of everything I say I will do, I will. Copyright 2004 by Alicia Smith Alicia Smith is a Coach and Trainer whose specialty is helping coaches to Make Money Now. Take the Test: Do Your Marketing Materials Really Grab Attention?

Wednesday, March 26th, 2008

By Nancy J. Wagner Todays constant bombardment of marketing messages means your materials must grab your prospects attention in the first few seconds, or your efforts are wasted. How do you know if your marketing materials will prompt prospects to keep reading? Take this simple test: hold each of your marketing pieces at arms length and answer the following questions: 1. Got white space? If your materials look crowded, add white space by increasing the sides, top or bottom margins. Try adding extra blank spaces between each section so the information is more readable. You should also add headlines to break up the text. Consider editing your copy and eliminating wasteful graphics to gain even more space. Too much white space pushes prospects away just as much as when there is too little. To make sure prospects give your piece more than a glance, add meaningful content or graphics to keep prospects reading. 2. Do the graphics really pertain to what youre selling? Include graphics with meaning and get rid of the rest. Effective graphics should either further the prospects understanding of your products and services or provide additional information necessary to the buying decision. They should not push the prospect away from the selling process by acting as fillers without meaning. Consider adding illustrations, diagrams, or happy customer photos to keep things meaningful. 3. Are the headlines readable? Reading sales literature is just like reading the newspaper most readers scan the headlines to determine if theyll continue reading the rest of the article. If you cannot clearly see your pieces headlines at arms length, you need to make the font bigger. Typically, marketing materials use at least a 14 point bold Arial or Helvetica font for headlines and an 11 or 12 point Times or Times New Roman font for the content that follows. 4. Wheres your contact info? If you cant find your contact info within 1-2 seconds, prospects wont find it either. Whether you want prospects to call, email, or write you, provide your contact information on every single side of your marketing materials, and make sure it stands out from the rest of the content. Incorporate these ideas into your materials, add meaningful, benefit, sales-oriented copy, and prospects will use your materials for their true purpose to express interest in what youre selling. My Friend, My Counselor

Monday, March 24th, 2008

By Michael Russell It’s 3:00 in the morning and I’m still wide awake. I kept tossing and turning in my bed but I couldn’t seem to fall asleep. It must be the coffee I drank earlier that night in the casino. I picked up my phone and started dialing a very familiar number. “Hello”, a soft sleepy voice answered me from the other end of the line; my best friend for so many years. She lives some thousand miles away from me but she is closer to me than my next door neighbor. Everybody needs a true friend. Someone who will not hang up on you even when its 3:00 in the morning and when you talk of nothing but useless thoughts. I met my best friend when I was preparing for my board exams. We hit it off almost instantly and we became best buddies. We would go to church together after my review sessions and go window shopping when both of us had nothing in our pockets but peanuts and some loose change for the bus. We would talk for endless hours about our dreams in life. She never failed to narrate to me how her date went and I would always giggle listening to her. She would help me get through my review and keep me awake to finish a chapter or two. After my board exams, I went home, started a career and went on with my life. My friend on the other hand, got a job abroad. We didn’t hear from each other again. Years passed, filled with work and an endless cycle of errands and monotonous tasks. I felt a void in my life, somehow there was something missing -I missed my best friend. One night I received an unexpected call. “My father is dead” I heard a voice so dear to me say and it was my best friend. With cracking voice she informed me that her dad just passed away. Without hesitation, I took the first flight the next day to see her. I needed to assure her that everything was ok. We hugged tightly like we never hugged before. Her face shows so much depression but at the same time gladness that I came to see her. I stayed for a few days to comfort her. I flew back home and we vowed to call each other every week. Now we call each other every day. When I can’t sleep because of some strong coffee I drank or when I’m depressed and frustrated with my work or when I’m happy because I got a raise in my salary, I never fail to share my thoughts. She may call me and cry because of a relationship gone awry and tell me of her pain and anguish, of her loves and laughter. We have become each other’s counselor. The hours we spend talking have become hours of healing each others bruises. I wonder what life would be if I haven’t met my best friend. New York Flower Market

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Kent Pinkerton New York flower markets have a large selection of flowers that come in daily. The most popular and best thing you would see in the New York flower market is the selection of many rare species of flowers and plants. There is a wide variety of flowers of your choice in the New York flower market. Many different flower markets are available in the city of New York. Among those markets, Chelsea Flower Market is one of the largest not only in the wholesale category, but also in the retail florists section in New York City. It is located in Chelsea Market. An interesting fact is that the New York flower market has decreased considerably from the 1930s, when New Yorkers bought flowers for holidays like Easter. By the 1930s, millions of flowers were being sold around Sixth Avenue and Twenty-Eighth Street, including 500,000 Easter Lilies from Bermuda and 30,000 Tulips from Holland. As a major event, the third annual lunar New Year flower market starts with flowers, arts, performances, colors, fragrances and cultures. New York flower markets have various types of flower selections. They carry the green and flowering plants along with a large selection of supplies. These major flower markets provide special arrangements decorated for any events like weddings, private parties, and corporate events. They are arranged by the experienced staff provided by the flower market. Open air flower markets provide you the different selections of flowers and floral arrangements at discounts. They offer you a great selection of special floral arrangements, like a dozen roses in a box and a vase; large arrangements; baby boy arrangement; fall and garden arrangements; and the high style arrangement. The floor of the flower store is covered with an incredible range of foliage, from tiny cacti to towering ficus trees. New Year flower markets have large selections of potted plants. One should step into the New York flower markets often to see the new selections. M17 Gas Masks

Saturday, March 22nd, 2008

By Ross Bainbridge The US military uses the M17 series gas masks to protect its forces from chemical and biological weapon attacks. These masks are the latest in a series of gas masks used by the US military. The M17 gas masks provide protection from all types of known chemical and biological agents present in the air. The mask has different components like a filter t, face piece and outserts. Filter elements t in the face piece removes harmful agents from entering the mask. The M17 series includes two types of masks -M17A1 and M17A2. These gas masks have inbuilt systems that facilitate communication — a tube for drinking water and a pair of outserts to protect eye lenses and prevent fogging. The mask is packed in a carrier that also contains other items like a nerve agent antidote kit (NAAK) and a convulsant antidote for nerve agents (CANA). It also contains a waterproof bag to protect filter elements from water damage. Other components attached are mask hoods to protect the head and neck area, a winterization kit to prevent frost accumulation during cold weather conditions and optical inserts for soldiers with vision defects. The mask offers protection from harmful agents, but does not function properly in places where oxygen content is low. The mask is not meant to be used for firefighting and does not provide protection from radiation. It is recommended that users continue wearing it until the biological or chemical agent is identified. The risk of terrorist attacks by rogue organizations and states has increased. The sarin gas attack in a Japanese subway that affected hundreds of people illustrates the growing risk posed by terrorism. The masks provide protection from such chemical agents. The demand for these masks is expected to increase in the near future. Gas Mask provides detailed information on Gas Masks, Military Gas Masks, Surplus Gas Masks, Gas Masks For Sale and more. Secondhand Bridal Dresses

Thursday, March 20th, 2008

By Max Bellamy For couples on a tight budget, using secondhand wedding gowns may be an option. To relieve some of the stress involved in buying a secondhand wedding gown, there are a few things that a bride-to-be should consider to make the search and purchase of the perfect secondhand wedding gown a fun experience. Things to consider One of the first things that you need to consider is your budget. Before looking for a gown, be aware of what you are willing to spend. This way, you can avoid the stress and disappointment of not being able to buy that gown that you want just because it costs a few hundred dollars more than what you are willing to pay. Once you know your limit, you can then narrow down your choices. Apart from making it easier for you, you will also have more time to scrutinize the gowns. You should also allot a considerable amount of time in shopping for the gown because it most likely that you will have alterations made on it. Research It would also be a good idea to look at magazines for current trends. When you start shopping for a gown, you can then limit your choices to gowns that are up to date in terms of fashion trends. Doing so will also inspire ideas of how you would like your gown to look. It would also be wise to look at several stores so that you will not be too limited in your choices. Besides, looking at more stores will increase your chances of buying a gown you are happy with. Buying a secondhand gown need not be harrowing. There are ways of eliminating unnecessary stresses when you buy these types of gowns. Cervical Laminectomy Surgery

Monday, March 17th, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Dheeraj_Bojwani] Dheeraj Bojwani Most neck pain is due to degenerative changes that occur in the intervertebral discs of the cervical spine and the joints between each vertebra. The vast majority of patients who have neck pain will not require any type of operation. However, in some cases degenerative changes in the cervical spine can lead to a very serious condition where there is too much pressure on the spinal cord. When this condition occurs, the entire spinal cord is in danger. One surgical option is to remove the pressure on the spinal cord by opening the spinal canal from the back to make the spinal canal larger. This procedure is called a laminectomy. The spinal cord and nerve roots in the neck are surrounded and protected by the cervical vertebrae. These bones have an opening called the spinal canal through which the spinal cord passes. Ligaments and blood vessels are also present in the spinal canal. The nerve roots start at the spinal cord and pass through an opening between the vertebrae called the intervertebral foramen (or neural foramen). From there, they extend to other parts of the body. PREPARATION FOR Cervical laminectomy SURGERY: EXAM BEFORE SURGERY Before surgery, your doctor may ask you to see your primary care physician for a general exam with blood work. If you have a chronic condition such as heart problems, diabetes, or high blood pressure, be sure to advise your doctor. We may suggest seeing a local specialist here in Tyler while you are in the hospital. TWO WEEKS BEFORE SURGERY You will need to significantly reduce the amount of pain medications, or stop altogether, as your doctor recommends, in order to enhance the effectiveness of pain medications after surgery. If, however, you are taking Oxycontin, continue to take it until the day of surgery. (Do not take it the morning of surgery.) There are a number of medications that are important to monitor before surgery. Your doctor will discuss this with you. The major medicine that needs to be discontinued includes blood thinners such as Coumadin, Heparin, and any kind of aspirin containing product or anti-inflammatory medication which is labeled as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medication (NSAID). NSAIDs include aspirin, ibuprofen, Advil, Motrin, Daypro, and Naprosyn. These medications have been associated with an increased incidence for bleeding after surgery, and we recommend that the medication be discontinued for a period of 7 to 14 days prior to surgery. There is a new class of NSAIDS– including Vioxx and Celebrex– that may be taken until 2 days before surgery. (Stop taking these two days before your surgery date.) This will be discussed with the doctor who prescribes those medications. If you take herbs or alternative prescriptions, please advise your doctor. Some of these can cause odd interactions with common drugs. Your doctor will discuss the importance of stopping smoking. It will also be important not to smoke for at least 24 hours before surgery in preparation for anesthesia. This is important. THE NIGHT BEFORE SURGERY Eat or drink nothing after midnight - this includes food, water, coffee, chewing gum, etc. If you take a medication regularly, you may take it with a small sip of water The Operation of cervical spine laminectomy: To perform a cervical spine laminectomy, an incision is made down the center of the back of the neck. The muscles are then moved to the side. The arteries and nerves in the neck are protected as well. Once the spine is reached from the back, each vertebra is identified. Your surgeon will probably take an X-ray during surgery to make sure that the right vertebrae are being selected and the correct lamina removed. Once this is determined, the lamina of the affected vertebrae is removed. Any bone spurs that are found sticking off the back of the vertebra are removed as well. Great care is taken to not damage the spinal cord and nerve roots. In the cervical spine, removing the lamina completely may cause problems with the stability of the facet joints between each vertebra. If the joints are damaged during the laminectomy, the spine may begin to tilt forward causing problems later. One way that spine surgeons try to prevent this problem is not to actually remove the lamina. Instead, they simply cut one side of the lamina and fold it back slightly. The other side of the lamina opens like a hinge. This makes the spinal canal larger, giving the spinal cord more room. The cut area of the lamina eventually heals to keep the spine from tilting forward. Why go to India for Cervial Laminectomy? Over the years, India has become a global centre of excellence in spine surgery including the cervical Laminectomy surgery. India has achieved global recognition as a pioneer in innovative cervical Laminectomy surgery techniques to help patients who are often termed inoperable. These innovations have saved hundreds of lives across the globe. Besides the Best Spine Surgery Hospitals available in India what attracts thousands of patients is the wide variety of tourist options available that they can visit during their recuperation from the surgery. India has a rich and unique cultural heritage, and has actively preserved its established traditions throughout history. The Taj Mahal in Agra is India’s most popular tourist destination. The Single Biggest Killer of Relationships

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

By Elaine Sihera So you see the man/woman you fancy across the room at a party. You edge nervously towards him/her, wanting to make that crucial impression. You finally make the connection between you and you feel really happy. You punch the air with joy. A few weeks .. or even years .. later, everything stops in its tracks and you can’t understand it. End of beautiful romance or marriage. And what killed it, you wonder? Aaahh, those expectations. They just did not match up between you. Expectations are the biggest killers of all relationships, whether new or established, since unrealistic demands and the search for perfection invariably suck the lifeblood out of a connection. Every partnership that breaks down begins its downfall when expectations go unfulfilled, which then causes frustration, resentment, anger and even violence. High expectations and the desire for perfection in our soulmates gradually erode the love and good feelings we initially have. Disappointment creeps in, a re-evaluation takes place that pushes our feelings toward the negative, and respect is gradually lost. There are two main kinds of expectations: those that seek to change our soulmates into some perfect ideal of the desired person, and those which are impossible to fulfil because they go against our basic values and purpose. They rob of us our freedom, free choice and unique perspectives. Worst of all, they make us feel inadequate and forever below par. Both kinds of expectations are so unrealistic they are hardly ever achieved, and yet people continue to strive in vain, every day, to realise them. Wherever such expectations are fulfilled, there is likely to be a significant element of controlling, browbeating and even bullying. There is also the anxious kind of expectation which fears commitment and assumes everyone is out to trap us into a long-term relationship, or that they should already have been partnering us! Gender Conflict in Expectations There is a saying that men marry women hoping they will stay the same forever while women marry men hoping to change them as soon as the ceremony is over! Expectations that involve seeking perfection are particularly soul destroying. The main trouble with wanting perfection in a relationship is that one partner..s idea of perfection will rarely coincide with that of the other, and so the desire to compete for this elusive state inevitably gets out of hand as the resulting expectations gradually damage the relationship. One can see this perfect ideal long before the two people have settled into the relationship .. at the dating stage, in fact. It rears its ugly head whenever individuals express the desire not to connect with anyone with emotional or other baggage. They want a perfect being without negative feelings, perhaps without any feeling at all, so long as they are happy! But this so-called baggage contains our pain, hurt and essential issues to be resolved. It also contains our resources from which we can learn to rebuild our lives. It is an inevitable process that is crucial to our development and forms the core of who we are. The ideal situation is to carry this baggage in reducing amounts until we learn from it and let it go. But many people pretend they have no ‘baggage’ at all. They mask it with a lot of ‘fun’, humour or unforgiving seriousness while they die inside, becoming unfeeling and insensitive robots. Every part of our experience becomes a kind of baggage that shapes our perception, alters our attitude and is then put aside in our ongoing development. As I said in my other book on relationships, ..To meet someone claiming to be without any baggage is to meet a bland, fearful idiot, unable to cope with his/her emotions or feelings; someone pretending about their life; who is constantly in denial that nothing affects them unduly while denying others the right to their own emotions and feelings. However, it is not the ‘baggage’ we carry which is the main problem. It is how we handle that ‘baggage’, what we have in it, and how long we carry it for!!..(Sihera - Money, Sex & Compromise) Conforming to Expectations A desire for perfection means we are never happy with ourselves or our partners; never satisfied with our lives or our looks. There is always someone, or something, better just around the corner. When we meet the desired one, they have to conform to our expectations by behaving in a prescribed manner in order to merit our attention and approval. We are not prepared to let that person unfold gradually before us, to just be themselves and surprise us with something different, en route to what might turn out to be the same end. Instead, we have high expectations about how the partner should look (like the age old clich of ‘looking sexy in a little black number’) and how they should act in public (’mustn’t drink beer from pint glasses’, or must have the right designer car and clothes) according to our identikits. What many people don’t realise is that, should their soulmate change into the perfect ideal required, they both will be seeking different partners! Think about it carefully. People come together because they are attracted to each other .. AS THEY ARE, not what they hope to be. Change one person to something else and s/he will then be looking for a new partner to match the new characteristics they have acquired. That is why people who are promoted and those who undertake self-development, or higher education courses during their relationships, tend to gravitate towards those in a similar situation, if their spouses haven’t kept up with them. Their new status would create new expectations. Moreover, expectations and the search for perfection tend to blind us the fact that we are far from perfect ourselves. There is a lot we too need to do to become ‘perfect’ in the eyes of others, like lose that ‘beer belly’, stop smoking, treat others more sensitively, become more caring etc.. The end result is that we continually circle each other with high expectations, but with no capacity to fulfil them. At the same time we miss many opportunities for greater happiness by just being ourselves and enjoying it. *This is taken from STEP SIX - Expectation, 10 Easy Steps To…Finding Your Ideal Soulmate!, which explains the main reasons why we fail to find a soulmate or why current relationships go pear shaped.
